Abstract: Within the Italian debate over urban times, a specific perspectives has been elaborated by women. Going beyond this, I propose to try and understand which are the changes in our time organisation that can be able to catch
up with the new generations (people who will be grown-up in the first decades of the next century). Day-to-day life-times studies have immediately focused on urban organisation as one of the key issues: the way specific social groups elaborate projects
over their times and hours, lies indeed at the cross-road between social life and urban structure. To resume briefly the main concepts in this debate, we need therefore mention: men's times and women's times, waiting, wasting time, time exchange. Another
important point lies in the fact that time and hours structure, as we know it, is not a natural factor, but it is a social structure, subject to change. In this sense we can intervene, building future scenarios that can lead us towards change
